Week 8: Weather and Books

Eight weeks into this year and the weather has yet to be normal. There has always been something interesting about the seasons in Southern California. They sort of blend and overlap against each other and never stay the same year to year. To top it off, the sun is setting later and later. It got to the point where I thought it might be summer already. Bad news: It's probably my brain playing tricks since I've been feeling under the weather. Good news: It's still cold enough to lounge around in my new bathrobe. If you don't have a bathrobe, I recommend getting one, they are more comfortable than they look.

Not all is looking bad though. If all goes well and I get a call back then I shall be in Hollywood this Saturday working a boom microphone for a webseries. Sure, it will be unpaid and take up most of the day, but I get travel expenses paid off and possibly some free food. Best of all, something will actually be relevant on my resume, no longer will I have to flaunt my small retail stints around inflated to be more than they actually are. So I ask of you, future employer, if you are reading this as you run me in Google, please call back soon. I'm waiting...

Finally, news on the organizational front. I was going to put up a spontaneous podcast this coming Wednesday night, but I will be having my brother's family over for some reason so if you are reading this and I had told you to expect it, disregard that. What you can expect though is sometime in the next few weeks there will be a spontaneous podcast or two linked in the blog as just sort of a chit-chat and testing ground. As for my organizing, I finally emptied out two boxes of books into my bookshelf, so progress is finally visible. Also, if anyone has a bigger bookshelf they wish to send to me, let me know. It would be handy.

Small enough for now, but I hope to upgrade.
Well, that's all for now, I will get back to you again in Week 9, and until then, don't let the terrorists in.
